Course Description

Join us for a trek along the trails at Kenosha Pass this winter with our experienced guides from L.L. Bean and then head over to Zoka's on the river valley in Pine for an incredible lunch! This easy 101 snowshoe trek will let 10 hikers learn new skills that will have you hiking year-round.

Meet your ride at the Lone Tree L.L. Bean parking lot, where we will all ride together and get to know each other on our drive up to Kenosha Pass. Once we arrive, you will each be strapped into your own pair of snowshoes (provided) and then we'll review snowshoeing techniques and learn important tips about hiking in the winter. We will arrive back at the trail head by approximately 12:30 p.m, so we can load up the van and head out for an incredible lunch. Snowshoeing will be approximately 2hrs, which believe me is perfect timing before your hips start aching! :-)

From Kenosha Pass, we will retreat back east to Zokas Restarunt in the little town of Pine, CO.  Zokas is in the foothills of the Pike National Forest. We will recharge after a day of hiking and listen to the sounds of the Platte River and relax by the fire. Our lunch will include a pre-set menu that will have every offering for all of your different tastebuds. Pair your meal with a fine wine or an exceptional local Colorado Brew. Once leaving Zoka's, we will wind our way through the forest along the gorgeous Platte River, stopping a few times to catch the beauty of the roaring river in it's winter wonder. The road will then lead us back to 285 and down back to your cars.

Please note this tour is weather dependent and is open to participants 18+ only.
